Aluminum Series

This work begins with rupture. Aluminum cans-symbols of convenience, waste, and industrial gloss-are torn open, peeled back, and reformed.

I’m not interested in recycling. I’m interested in reckoning. Each shard is a relic. Each fold, a scar. The metal remembers its former life, but it no longer serves it.

These pieces are tactile contradictions: sharp and soft, reflective and raw. I use what’s discarded to build what endures.
